Parent-Teacher-Associations (PTAs) are the largest child advocacy units in the country.
PTSAs, Parent-Teacher-Student-Associations, are a type of PTA that provide youth members with the opportunity to make a difference by developing leadership skills, learning about the legislative process, increasing their self-esteem, and contributing to the school. In turn, adult members gain a new perspective for program development, as well as acquire a better understanding of the youth of today.

August 2009 launched the New Langston Hughes High School PTSA Charter. The PTSA serves as the heartbeat of Langston Hughes High School. We are comprised of individuals who dedicate their time, talents, gifts, ideas, commitment, and willingness to serve to fulfill the mission of the PTA.
LHHS PTSA is under the leadership of the Soulth Fulton Council of PTAs, and is a local unit of the 10th District of the Georgia PTA which covers Fulton County. The Georgia PTA is a branch of the National PTA.
